Description
An employer is looking for a Software Safety Engineer in the Huntsville, AL area.This resource will apply knowledge, methodologies and principles of safety engineering as defined in MIL-STD-882E and Software Safety engineering as defined in the Joint Software System Safety Engineering Handbook (JSSSEH).
They will review product systems, functional specifications and operations, and establishes safety requirements for assigned systems.

Required Skills & Experience
Active or Interim Secret Clearance
Experience reading code in C++ or Python
Experience within Systems Engineer, Aerospace Engineering, or Safety Engineering
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Willingness to learn software safety
WSSERB, SSSTRP, Munitions Boards experience developing presentation and TDPs
Experience with DOORS, C++, C, and Ada in an agile development environment
Working knowledge Software systems integration engineering, and software test engineering
Understanding Software Architecture and Design
Experience in Hardware/Software Interface
