The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting for a full-time, academic gynecologic surgeon to lead our Division of Minimally-Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). Our dedicated team of specialists is well-known for providing equitable and comprehensive surgical care to a diverse patient population. We are deeply invested in training the next generation of OBGYN providers and providing surgical education and training to medical students, residents, and fellows. The candidate must demonstrate expertise and efficiency with minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated a strong academic interest with a proven commitment to research and educational excellence with scholarly productivity and leadership roles at the regional or national level. The successful candidate will be well-positioned to lead our MIGS program and re-establish our fellowship. Ambulatory care and surgeries will occur both at the main campus in Boston, as well as at our affiliate clinical sites and hospitals in the greater Boston area. Academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
All applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Medical License. Candidates must be Board Certified or be an active candidate for Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must have completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) and/or have an ABOG MIGS-focused practice designation.
