    $65,000-$75,000 a year - Full-time - Remote with the option ofhybrid remote at Caliper headquarters: 1172 Beacon Street, #301,Newton, MA, 02461, USA

    Description:


    This entry-level analyst position will perform a variety ofactivities including product testing, user experience (UX)design, user interface (UI) design, technical support, customerservice, quote and order handling, product marketing andanalysis, database product development, search engineoptimization (SEO), and web page design.

    There will be a heavy sales and customer support focus, and 50% or more ofthe role will involve selling to, training, and onboarding customers .

    As aconsequence, this role will be of particular interest to thosewishing to gain knowledge and experience in the fields of sales,marketing, and entrepreneurship.

    Analysts will assist businesses inusing Caliper software, primarily Maptitude, to achieve their businessdevelopment andanalytical goals. They will participate in consulting andresearch projects for corporations and government agencies.

    Analysts will work with senior staff most of whom have advanceddegrees and a high degree of expertise in their chosen fields.

    Analysts will be exposed to sophisticated methods of analysisand the application of the latest geographic informationsoftware tools.

    Analysts may also have the opportunity to rotatethrough different roles in product development and testing,business strategy, marketing and sales, and informationtechnology.

    It is expected that Analysts will return to schoolafter several years to pursue advanced degrees althoughpromotion with Caliper is not precluded.


    Qualifications:
    Strong quantitative, written, and oral communication skills
    Prior knowledge of Excel, one or moreeconometric/statistical analysis packages, and someprogramming ability
    BA or BS with academic distinction in economics, socialscience, geography, management, or a related fieldwith a GPA of 3.5 or above
