- Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components, including motors, controllers, sensors, and PLCs, on CNC machines.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of CNC equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades, modifications, and improvements to CNC machines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory related to CNC electrical systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical equipment and machinery.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in electrical maintenance techniques and best practices.
- Must have experience working with 480V 3-phase step-down electrical systems.
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a focus on CNC machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and circuits, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with CNC machine controls, such as Cincinnati, Siemens, or Haas, is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stretch, crouch, and stoop.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
