    Under the oversight of the Nurse Manager, you'll be delivering direct patient care following Winchester Hospital's guidelines and the scope of practice for Registered Nurses in Massachusetts. Your responsibilities will include assessments, treatments, drug administration, monitoring patient's progress, recording responses/reactions, and assessing the effectiveness of therapies. Collaborating with patients, their families, and the healthcare team is key to achieving the desired outcomes.

    Job Description:
    • Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care
    • Assesses patients using observation, interview, and clinical data review
    • Develops individualized care plans
    • Implements and changes care plans as needed
    • Administers medications and treatments
    • Provides patient/family education
    • Observes patients independently and with the healthcare team
    • Reports patient data and care plans
    • Documents patient information accurately
    • Participates in patient care conferences and operational initiatives
    • Takes on-call duties as required
    • Engages in training requirements, continuing education, and staff meetings
    • Completes unit-specific responsibilities
    • Participates in community activities

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Graduate of an accredited RN program
    • BSN required within 5 years of hire
    • BSN upon hire preferred
    • Work experience in specialty preferred
    • Basic computer knowledge
    • Strong communication and customer service skills

    LICENSE, CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Massachusetts Registered Nurse License

    LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support certification. Some departments may require additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
