    If you are an EH&S Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and improvement of safety and environmental standards within the company, as well as carry out various tasks including safety inspections, installations of risk prevention measures, management of fire protection systems, management of environmental measuring/reporting, hazardous and industrial waste handling, training, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The EHS Technician will actively participate in cost, safety and sustainability reduction initiatives while upholding company safety and hygiene standards.

    In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    • Perform safety inspections as assigned, identifying, and addressing/correcting potential hazards.
    • Handle the company's water, waste, emergency plan, first aid program, fire protection system, ensuring its accurate functioning and compliance.
    • Collect, record, control, store, label, and ship hazardous waste in accordance with regulations.
    • Provide safety and environmental training to facility personnel.
    • Support general activities related to safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance.
    • Participate in training programs and follow all company regulations and safety standards, including those set by OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, DOT, FM Global, and other regulatory bodies.
    • Responsible for tactical installation of EHS equipment, materials, etc. and installation and maintenance risk prevention measures.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to secure the following: HAZWOPER certification, OSHA 30 hour in General Industry, OSHA 30 hour in Construction, DOT certification, RCRA Federal and Texas and any other certifications as required.
    • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
    • Shall be required to pass DOT, RCRA, HAZWOPER 40hr certifications
    • Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly – 40 lbs. intermittently
    • Ability to work from floor level to 20 ft. with no restrictions
    • Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    • Practical knowledge of regulatory requirements as it pertains to Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA and TCEQ
    • Forklift license
    • 1 year or more work experience and/or supporting role in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health
