The National Center for Computational Sciences (NCCS) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking a postdoctoral research associate in High-Performance Computing (HPC) system architecture and intelligent storage design.
We are a leader in computational and computer science with signature strengths in high-performance computing system architecture and data analytics with applications in various science domains.
NCCS is home to some of the fastest supercomputers and storage systems in the world. This position is available within NCCS Technology Integration group.
This role involves collaboration on multiple projects related to scalable storage memory architectures telemetry driven system optimization application driven performance analysis for HPC scientific AI edge computing as well as other tasks such as designing deploying methods at scale hardware software co-design memory hierarchies DDR HBM telemetry tools experience with associated software development for applications middleware systems software flexibility adapt diverse R D projects tasks effective communication skills ability collaborate scientists engineers sponsors mentoring student internships advanced degree computer engineering physics mathematics statistics relevant area past five years basic qualifications PhD education research track record HPC AI edge systems storage within past five years preferred qualifications work independently design deploy methods scale familiarity hardware software co-design memory hierarchies DDR HBM telemetry tools experience HPC associated software development applications middleware systems.
