    Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic II

    Description:

    This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing aircraft structures and systems of moderate difficulty. The successful candidate will be able to maintain and repair various aircraft components, including landing gear, flight surfaces, anti-icing systems, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, and mechanical components.

    The individual must possess a thorough knowledge of airframe and power plant systems and have the ability to troubleshoot and restore equipment condition or operation. They will also need to read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

    Responsibilities:

    • Inspect and repair aircraft structures and systems of moderate difficulty
    • Maintain and repair various aircraft components
    • Troubleshoot malfunctions and apply technical expertise to restore equipment condition or operation
    • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data

    Requirements:

    To be eligible for this role, you must have a strong understanding of aircraft mechanical components and the ability to troubleshoot and repair them. You should also have experience performing periodic inspections and maintaining various aircraft systems.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Six (6) years of experience on C-130 any variant experience aircraft as a USAF 7-Level APG, HYD, ENG Mechanic, or USMC 6256/6216 CDI equivalent
    • C130 Advanced Systems School
    • Sergeant Fletcher Refuel Pod's experience
    • Three (3) years of C-130J flight line aircraft experience
    • C130J APU/Engine Run experience

    Working Conditions:

    This position will be primarily located at Eglin Air Force Base with occasional trips to Crestview, Hurlburt Field, and other CONUS TDY locations. The work shift may require the selected candidate to work the first, second, or third shift as required.

    Security Clearance:

    This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret
