    Job Summary

    Summit Stairs & Millwork Inc. is hiring a Vehicle & Facility Maintenance Technician to perform routine and complex servicing of box trucks and rebuilding of a variety of production machinery and equipment as well as assist with repair and maintenance work in the company facility. This is a full time position with operating hours from 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday- Friday; occasional overtime and/or weekend hours will be required based on operational needs. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions and replaces defective parts of vehicles & machinery
    • Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles, machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, tools and production equipment.
    • Maintains accurate records of vehicle & equipment maintenance activities.
    • Initiates orders for necessary materials and supplies to complete repair and maintenance task.
    • Notifies supervisor of situations involving mechanical problems, or other issues requiring attention.
    • Observe safety procedures and complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
    • Performs other repairs and maintenance related duties as required

    Job Qualifications/Experience

    • High school diploma or GED; vocational or trade school training with one (1) year experience in a skilled trade (mechanic, machine repair), building maintenance or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Vehicle maintenance 1 year preferred
