- Responsible to ;Director of Radiology
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- Assist in planning and directing the technical aspects of mammography and other breast imaging procedures. Provides liaison with radiologist for quality critique of breast films. Coordinates and compiles all quality and outcome data for mammography. Maintains documentation to ensure ACR accreditation and FDA compliance. Assists radiologist and other physicians performing imaging and invasive procedures. Maintains records and documentation for procedures as well as any other duties assigned by the Director of Radiology.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- High school graduate and graduate from an AMA APPROVED SCHOOL OF Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
- One year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Eligible for the Advanced Practice Mammography certification (ARRT) .
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and other Window application skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
