The Transportation Manager effectively manages the dedicated fleet operations and has full P&L responsibility.+
Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operations of facilities and subordinate staff including supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
- Audits compliance of both internal and external SOP's.
- Sources all avenues to grow revenue base with both dedicated and non-dedicated customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Business or related field or an equivalent combination of education experience sufficient to perform essential functions job as determined by company. At least 5+ years' overall experience supply chain Experience TMW AS400 preferred Working knowledge Microsoft Office applications Working knowledge transportation mechanical equipment OSHA DOT HAZMAT FDA regulations willingness become certified one more areas necessary Excellent talent management skills Excellent verbal non-verbal written communication skills Excellent customer service skills specifically external clients Excellent analytical mathematical skills Must on-call alarm system problems during off work hours Ability availability work irregular extended hours including nights weekends holidays needed customer.Job description
