    Southshore Family Dentistry is a leading dental practice committed to delivering high-quality dental care to our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced oral surgery, dental assistant to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our practice.

    Qualifications:

    • 1 year of experience as a dental assistant required
    • Oral surgery experience required
    • Sedation Certification required
    • Radiography certification
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
    • Familiarity with Dentrix, or other dental software systems is a plus

    Responsibilities:
    • Assisting the oral surgeon during dental surgeries and procedures, including extractions, implant placements, bone grafting, and biopsies.
    • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
    • Taking and developing dental x-rays, 3D scans, and digital images as required by the oral surgeon.
    • Educating patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, including medication usage, diet restrictions, and oral hygiene practices.
    • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment details, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
    • Assisting in maintaining and ordering dental supplies, equipment, and inventory.
