A Engineer Associate is needed for a world class utility company. Remote work but must be located in Central Ohio. This position will support TAPR in validating asset renewal projects, utilizing the C55 Platform, and providing technical support, with a focus on safety, reliability, and budget adherence.

responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders to support the Enhanced Needs Process.

Gather documentation and create validation packages for asset renewal projects.

Perform entry-level engineering work activities, applying appropriate engineering solutions.

Ensure consideration for safety, system reliability, standardization, ease of operation, and timely project completion within budgets. Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

Organize and develop validation packages for the TAPR Enhanced Needs Process.

Requires understanding of asset outage data, age data, condition data, and health data.

Use the C55 Platform in collaboration with the TAPR team.

Create investments in the C55 system for planned needs process assets.

Learn and document best practices and efficiencies.

Support TAPR Coordinators in creating BPIDs for large TFS-sponsored programs.

Provide guidance for internal or external data requests.

Support rate case and commission filing RFIs.

Assist with RTO Needs Submittal questions.

Possess entry-level technical expertise.

Apply theory to solve problems with guidance.

Understand relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

Coordinate work activities of others for routine engineering tasks.

Demonstrate leadership by working with others and assuming roles as needed.

Provide input to project planning documents and understand scheduling techniques.

Monitor project status and recommend actions.

Apply basic techniques for problem-solving and initiative.

Assist in preparing reports and technical papers.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Begin networking with peers and develop interpersonal skills.

Make routine decisions subject to review and contribute to team decision-making.

Demonstrate business awareness and characteristics.

Understand and satisfy internal and external customer needs.

Encouraged to participate in professional and business organizations. Minimum Requirements:

Entry-level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Encouraged to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam for future PE licensure.

Acceptable alternatives: Bachelor's degree in non-ABET engineering with a PE license, or a Master's/PhD from an ABET-accredited program.
