    One Step Beyond, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and a Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disability (DES/DDD) Licensed, Contracted Provider Agency. We offer programs in vocational development, employment, and placement; life skills training, focusing on social skill development, functional literacy, and household management; recreation and fitness, including Special Olympics; and cultural arts opportunities.

    The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities include providing on-going speech therapy and evaluation services in accordance with the member(s) PCSP/Plan of Care plan and/or physician Plan of Care. The therapy provided will be based on the evaluation of the SLP. The SLP will evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, Treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each member's needs, Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the overall growth and development of members Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals, Communicate regularly with parents, program staff, Case support coordinators and other professionals to discuss progress and provide recommendations for additional support Train and supervise support personnel such as Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA). Oversee the therapy program and its SLPA's, coordinate with billing team for the billing of services, maintain member files that are in compliance with DDD program and quality assurance specifications as well as OSBI internal policies and procedures. The SLP is ultimately responsible to lead all necessary actions in order to bring success for all program members as a whole while advancing the realization of the Mission and Vision of OSBI.

    Qualifications:

    • Capacity to work in a collaborative environment and to maintain strong attention to detail.
    • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
    • Arizona Department of Health Services State Speech Language Pathology License
    • Valid AHCCCS ID and National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
    • Ability to assess needs, develop and implement the PCSP, POC, and evaluate outcomes in specialty
    • Valid Level one Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Commitment to professional development and staying current on best practices in the field
    • Ability to accurately interpret DDD program specifications and policies, organizational skills, report creation, data tracking, monitoring, and maintenance.
    • 3+ Years working with adults with Intellectual Disability or similar vulnerable population, preferred.
    • 3+ years working in the Speech Therapy field
    • 3+ years working basic financial reporting and budget management, preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. MCO billing systems, DDD Wellsky billing system.
    • Able to supervise OSBI SLPA's in accordance with all applicable supervision requirements.
    • Ability to obtain appropriate certifications and clearances according to DDD State Regulations.
    • Good driving record and must pass MVR inquiry.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills through varied mediums of communication (email, telephone, text, etc.).
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    Responsibilities:

    · Evaluates and treats patients with communication and swallowing disorders/delays, demonstrating knowledge of normal growth and skills necessary to provide age appropriate services.

    · Uses person centered based behavior management strategies and matches diagnostic/therapeutic interventions to age and disability of the member.

    · Establishes appropriate treatment plan with age-appropriate goals and target timeframes, which are discussed with family and mutually agreed upon, Maintains appropriate documentation per the Policies & Procedures Manual in compliance with OSBI, DDD, ASHA, Arizona Department of Health standards, including participation in Total Quality Management.

    · Builds and maintains rapport within the department, and community, professionally interacting with physician, families, and hospital/community personnel.

    · Evaluates recommended needs for equipment and supplies. Assists in the monitoring of speech pathology members, Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested

    · Work closely with the AZ Executive Director and all OSBI Program Directors to collaborate in successful implementation of annual enrollment and program transitional goals.

    · Manage program income and control expenses to not only stay within monthly budget but also increase annual program profit to plan for future needs and expansion.

    · Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

    · Collaborate with the AZ Executive Director on an annual Tactical Plan that supports the OSBI Strategic Plan, is approved by the Board and Executive Leadership Team, correlates with the AZ annual operating budget, and ensures the long-term financial viability of the AZ Therapy program(s)

    · Consider the welfare, growth, and development of program members as a top priority in all decision making, planning, and development

    · Assist the Executive Director efforts collaborating with Progam Leaders regarding vehicle acquisition, maintenance scheduling and documentation, and other related matters, as needed.

    · Provide strong leadership: Communicate clear expectations and goals. Provide performance feedback and evaluations. Conduct one on one meetings with SLPA's to access concerns and needs, sharing information with program personnel in relation to member goals and outcomes.

    · Demonstrate and model professionalism – personal determination, reliability, resilience, maturity, consistency, and confidentiality.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $80, $95,000.00 per year

    Expected hours: 40 per week
