    Redondo Beach property management company looking for an experienced Real Estate Bookkeeper/Accountant to handle accounting tasks for multiple real estate entities and trust accounts.

    The Real Estate Bookkeeper/Accountant role is a central role in the daily operations of our business.

    Applicant must have experience in property management bookkeeping, all aspects of accounting functions such as General Ledger, A/P & A/R, Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting.

    Responsible for Profit and Loss functions and proficient in CAM reconciliations.

    Applicant must be proficient in Appfolio, Excel and Word. Good Communication Skills are a must.

    Essential Functions

    Perform general bookkeeping, data entry functions, enter payables,and check writing, journal entries, and adjustments for multiple entities

    Close out monthly accounting and reports

    Reconcile multiple bank accounts

    Import and reconcile all credit card activity for multiple cards

    Book and reconcile intercompany accounts between management company and respective investment entities

    Maintenance of key accounting schedules

    Review and revise financials, prior to Manager's review and finalization.

    Work with Manager in solving higher-level accounting queries and GL mapping

    Prepare and send annual 1099's.

    Year end tax preparations in coordination with outside CPA.

    Qualifications & Skills

    4 to 6+ years experience with the responsibilities listed above

    Real Estate industry experience required

    Exemplary planning, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

    Be able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment

    Highly detail oriented with meticulous record keeping, a head for numbers and excellent organizational skills.

    Trustworthy and ability to tactfully and discreetly handle highly confidential matters

    Process oriented

    Exceptional verbal and written communicator

    Proactive approach to problem solving (critical thinker), resourceful

    Professional, reliable, communicative, and open to feedback

    Active learner:
    taking initiative comes naturally

    Schedule & Compensation

    The Real Estate Bookkeeper role is a full-time position (40/hrs a week) based out of our South Redondo Beach office with flex time potential.

    Compensation for this position is salaried and commensurate with experience. Benefits are included as part of the compensation package for this role.
