PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Network Systems Administrator on a Direct Hire basis for our client in Englewood, CO.

Summary

Our Oracle Partner client is seeking a Network Systems Administrator with strong expertise in Linux administration and network engineering. This role is crucial as it supports the backbone of Oracle-related services, ensuring secure and efficient system and network operations during critical client data migrations and day-to-day management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux systems which form the core infrastructure for our services.
• Develop and implement network security measures, including the configuration of firewalls and the restriction of subnets to specific locations.
• Play a pivotal role in building and securing networks prior to and during migrations of client data to Oracle systems.
• Balance between Linux system administration (70%) and network tasks (30%), with flexibility to focus fully on networking during critical periods.
• Collaborate with other administrators and technical teams to enhance system and network security and efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Proficient in network administration and engineering, with a solid understanding of network security principles.
• Experience in securing networks and managing enterprise-level Linux environments.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, adapting to varying workloads with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the foundational principles underlying system and network administration tasks.
• Proactive, eager to take on new challenges and enhance personal and organizational capabilities.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Salary: $100,000-$130,000
