The impact you will have could be anything from delivering products that help a scientist discover a cure for cancer to helping a nurse care for a patient effectively because they have the right equipment.

A Day in the Life:

Responsibility for the daily distribution activities, productivity and quality within assigned department (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control).
Provide leadership and assistance with the daily operation of the department to meet all daily objectives.
Assist employees with exceptions and problem resolution to ensure accuracy within the department.
Coordinate with leadership to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate to meet department and launch time goals.
Organize and direct workflow for the department
Provide instructions about standard operating procedures, material handling equipment and help in resolving problems.
Train temporary employees and new hires.
Assist in maintaining a safe, injury-free work environment.

Keys to Success:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

4+ years of work experience in distribution, warehouse, or supply chain.
Leadership experience and desire is preferred.
Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus.
Experience with computers and scanning equipment preferred.
Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Desire to work within a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs
