    Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Location: West Palm Beach, Florida

    Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the school year in West Palm Beach, Florida. The SLP will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students within our school district, supporting their communication and educational success. This position offers the opportunity to work in a diverse and vibrant community, making a positive impact on the lives of students and their families.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language impairments.
    2. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other members of the IEP team.
    3. Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
    4. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum and support students' participation and success in the classroom.
    5. Monitor and document student progress through ongoing evaluation and data collection, adjusting treatment plans as needed to support student growth and achievement.
    6. Educate and empower students, families, and caregivers on strategies for promoting speech and language development and fostering communication skills outside of therapy sessions.
    7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings, to contribute to the development of educational plans and support strategies for students with communication disorders.
    8. Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    2. Florida state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
    4. Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
    5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
    6. Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and interventions for speech and language disorders.
    7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced school environment.
    8. Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care and advocating for the needs of students with communication disorders.
