Job Summary
Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment for that purpose. Prepares room, equipment, materials as needed for patient exams including sterile technique cleans and disinfects rooms and equipment following each patient exam using current infection control policies performs examinations per Physician’s orders explains procedures to patients documents any variations from protocol due to patients condition or other unknown cause relays patients history and clinical data to Radiologist observes patient and equipment reports any unusual occurrences or changes transports assists patients as needed documents status of patent in reference to radiology CT procedure on patents chart maintains stock supplies performs general office duties responsible for proper film labeling follows prescribed techniques assure acceptable quality consistency practices safe radiation exposure protection well as general safety for patents visitors staff at all times.- Knowledge of growth development understanding of the patents needs scope treatment.
- Understands dynamics for each patent incorporating biophysical bio-psychosocial environmental self-care educational spiritual cultural ethical discharge planning needs.
