    Description
    Software Developer

    We're looking to hire a Software Developer who can help enhance and maintain our Membership systems. Our systems core is built with COBOL / CICS / DB2, but we are also using MuleSoft and ODM, along with .NET Client components (which we are working to migrate to Angular) as part of the solution.

    The team works a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 working from home. The team is working on adopting more current technical practices (DevOps, Automated Testing) and works in a SCRUM framework with 2-week sprints.

    What You'll Do:

    • You will deliver application functionality with quality, meeting the expectations of our product end-users for implementing new programs, making enhancements and resolving issues.
    • You will provide technical leadership to the team, helping to push for continually improving technical practices.
    • Will work with team members to review, analyze and resolve application issues as needed including the support of day-to-day operations.
    • Will collaborate, refine, decompose, and pull in work as a team to deliver within each determined sprint in a DevOps/Agile environment.
    • Learning new technologies to expand your ability to support our full suite of systems is also part of what you will do. This is often facilitated by paired programming and/or mobbing in addition to formal training.

    What You'll Need:

    • To thrive in this role, you must have experience in application design, development, and deployment of code in a complex technical environment.
    • Experience coding in open systems (VB.Net)
    • Experience supporting production systems.
    • Knowledge of Agile approaches.
    • Strong communication skills and interest in a DevOps environment.
    • A learning mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges and technologies.
    • E xperience building and maintaining APIs is a plus.
