    What We Need

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background leading end-to-end product development with a cross-disciplinary understanding of system level architectures. This role is the lead for all phases of hardware development and debug to support low power, remote electronic equipment and integration of multiple systems. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment working with several parallel programs simultaneously. Must be able to multitask, prioritize and plan through many stages of the development process including design, review, board bring-up, hardware test, and QA support. The most successful candidate will be both flexible and highly organized.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead product development efforts to ensure adequate resource allocation, the highest levels of quality and timely delivery
    • Design and test all aspects of electrical products, systems and specialized devices to ensure proper system level interface compatibility
    • Apply principles of electrical engineering on microcontroller, microprocessor and FPGA based systems
    • Create schematic design and PCB layout on a varying scale of complexity
    • Perform debugging and hardware analysis on circuits and rework designs
    • Meet product timelines by coordinating across departments
    • Support the software department by communicating hardware specifications and assist with hardware/software integration
    • Maintain accurate project documentation using CAD tools
    • Communicate prototype specifications to vendors and perform first article inspection
    • Use engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments
    • Communicate progress and complications and recommend fixes within electrical engineering parameters

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other engineering related discipline
    • 5-10 years of experience in designing, testing, and fabricating electrical products and systems in a lead capacity
    • 5-7 years of experience using schematic capture and PCB design software Preferably experience with Altium Designer
    • 5+ years of experience with debugging and reworking hardware
    • Must show proficiency in working with test equipment, such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data loggers
    • Familiar with design cycle from start to finish
    • Understand electrical engineering methods for troubleshooting and documentation
    • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally using the English language
    • Work autonomously as well as in a team environment
    • Flexible and adaptable to change, learn quickly, manage time efficiently
    • Ability to work across various microprocessor platforms with an emphasis in low-power design
    • Must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance for which US Citizenship is required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with multi-disciplinary engineering development organizations to include software, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering
    • Experience collaborating with or working within a product development organization
    • Prior experience with Agile software development methodologies
    • Familiarity with Microsoft program management tools to include PowerBI, Business Central, and Dynamics
    • Project Management Professional Certificate preferred but not required, PM track record is more important for this position

    What We Offer

    Salary Range - $110,000 – $140,000

    The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
