    One of our more prestigious clients has asked for our assistance in seeking a Plant Controller.

    Our client is incredibly dedicated to a culture of learning and superior designs for various automotive parts and systems, with over ten manufacturing locations throughout the US and revenues of over $2 Billion.


    What you will be doing:


    Serve as a Plant Controller, where you will play a pivotal role in planning, directing, and overseeing all financial activities within the company.

    Your expertise will be key in managing the accumulation and consolidation of critical financial data, ensuring accurate accounting of business results.

    By preparing comprehensive internal financial statements and other vital information, you will empower our management team to make well-informed decisions to steer our clients company towards more tremendous success.


    Responsibilities:


    All accounting activities related to month-end/year-end close including, but not limited toJournal entry preparation, approval, and postingFinancial statement preparation and analysis (system and excel)Account reconciliation preparation and approval,Review of financial statements, including variance analysis, with Director of Finance and President.

    Supervise daily activities of the Accounts Payable Coordinator and Accountant, provide guidance with technical and procedural questions, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

    Includes development and monitoring of annual goals and objectives for the direct reports.
    Monitors AP and AR aging reports and works with processors to clear up past due items.
    Approves POs up to predetermined limit per workflow.
    Coordinate external audit activity associated with year end audit.
    Responsibility for fixed asset sub-ledger/general ledger activity in PLEX.Maintain lease accounting schedules and prepare journal entries.

    Work with manufacturing part numbers, process routings, bill of materials, engineering changes, monitor and establish standard costing, and prepare margin analysis.

    Monitor inventory (SCAR) transactions, posts monthly journal entry in PLEX, and reviews for reasonableness.
    Maintain high level reserve calculations for LCM and Slow Moving/Obsolete Material.

    Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.

    Assists the Director of Finance with various governmental, audit, or other external party information requests.
    Ensures compliance with internal controls.
    Maintain and administer the company credit card program.
    Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.


    Proven Experience:
    Bachelors degree in Accounting, with seven (7) to ten (10) years of financial accounting management and supervision experience required. Public accounting and automotive experience preferred. CPA or CMA required.
    Strong analytical skills, independent problem-solving skills, product cost experience, and strong oral and written communication skills required.
    Advanced use of Microsoft Excel required.
    Experience with fully integrated ERP systems a must, with PLEX experience preferred (costing focus).Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint requiredClick here to apply online#J-18808-Ljbffr
