    Description

    Developer Team Leader Kansas City , Missouri **What We're Looking For**

    Responsible for the successful development and delivery of modern web applications and software solutions for HNTB clients through supervising and managing a project team.

    Primary Focus Will Include:

    Works across multiple development teams and across multiple projects to support application developers to ensure successful delivery of web applications and software solutions for HNTB clients, such as cloud-hosted SaaS solutions.

    Participates in mentoring, development, and evaluation of staff; provides guidance and training to staff.

    Viewed as an expert resource, provides technical guidance to others.

    Provides input in development/testing strategies, including capabilities within the team, processes and methodologies used, etc.

    Provides project coordination along with PM on development projects, including assigning workloads, estimating hours, defining milestones and quality assurance.

    Develops key relationships with industry sector leaders within the company.

    Investigates and learns new technologies, especially in cloud technology and modern web development.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

    2 years related professional experience as a web application developer or, in lieu of degree, a minimum of 6 years related experience as a web application developer required

    Knowledge of agile, iterative development cycle

    Knowledge of Angular, React, or Vue web development and data binding

    Knowledge of cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure or Google)

    Experience working with solutions for local or state government, especially in transportation technology

    Essential Responsibilities:

    Provides mentoring, development, training of staff. Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed.

    Responsible for managing all aspects of multiple strategic projects.

    Viewed as an expert resource; provides technical guidance to others.

    Actively manages client budget, schedule and program; HNTB budget and schedule; project communications and documentation.

    Develops fee estimates, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on medium size projects.

    Analyzes and solves serious technical problems with legacy applications, and provides user support for with these applications as assigned.

    Codes, tests, debugs and refines programs.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Programming, Computer Science or related field

    8 years related experience
