Job summary
The Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is responsible for providing healthcare services to patients under the supervision of, and/or in collaboration with, the attending physician.e provide medical evaluation treatment counseling and referrals diagnostic evaluations therapeutic remediation surgical assistance pharmaceutical prescription As with any other health care professional we are charged with being patient advocates Participate in patient satisfaction quality performance improvement initiatives Competent in assessment treatment counseling education of patient families provided medical services Competency evaluating patients performing physical examinations obtaining studying updating medical histories Determines abnormal conditions administering ordering diagnostic tests radiologic laboratory studies accurately interpreting test results Evaluates develops implements appropriate patient management treatment plans based on assessment needs Coordinates communicates effectively with other healthcare professionals institutions meet patients healthcare needs Provides high quality health care best practice evidenced medicine Performs therapeutic diagnostic procedures aligned granted clinical privileges Conduct virtual care services live interactive assessments diagnoses treatments via St Luke's virtual care platform assists escalation care maintains required continuing medical education Participates research development implementation tracking clinical management guidelines Teaches multidisciplinary students nursing nurse practitioner pharmacy physician assistant medical etc ensures positive educational environment Demonstrates performance improvement areas such as clinical outcomes customer service operational system process safety Utilizes electronic medical record remains current documentation provides optimal billing professional services Demonstrates financial responsibility accountability effective efficient use resources daily procedures processes practices Performs routine maintenance activities new established patients Coordinates family counseling public mental health agencies educates wellness habits prevents potential problems method dealing present problems Provides information materials relating patient healthcare needs
