    Description
    The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

    Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.

    We are currently hiring for the current shifts LVN Part Time/ Full Time Nights Wichita Falls areaLVN PRN Nights BurkburnettDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFurnishes services in accordance with agency policiesPrepares clinical and progress notesPrepares equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic techniques as requiredAssists the patient, parent, family in learning appropriate self-care techniques as requiredProvides services within agency service area as scheduledInforms the Pediatric RN Supervisor of changes in the patient's condition, immediatelyCounsels the patient, parent in meeting nursing and related needsParticipates in in-service programsReceives orders from physician or his representative according to policyOrientation of co-workersOther assigned duties as desired by the DCS and Director of Pediatric Operations The above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by the employee of this job.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
    Currently licensed as a licensed vocational nurse in the State of Texas.
    Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
    Ability to demonstrate assessment and skills in caring for a pediatric client for Pediatric RN Supervisor.
    Knowledge or experience with gastric button feeding and care preferred but not required.
    Knowledge or experience with ventilators, tracheostomy and care preferred but not required.
    Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
    Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
    In home training available. All Kinder Hearts employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with federal law.
