Assists the Logistics Supervisor in meeting the daily logistics activities at a busy chemical manufacturing plant. Will Coordinate shipments of package and bulk goods in both domestic and export movements. Will utilize SAP and other logistics software. Will assist with inbound raw material logistics as needed. Will participate as a high-performance tam member on plant and inter-plant teams. Will confer with Area Production Coaches to confirm inventory is ready to ship. Maintains communications with Customer Service Representatives, Carriers and 3rd Party Logistics. Responds to after hours and weekends logistics needs; Maintains a safe work environment engaging with plant safety culture. Provides area coverage during Logistics supervisor absences. Will support Logistics Supervisor in giving direction and assistance to hourly personnel in logistics functions; attending meeting to deliver logistics reports and working to improve the overall shipping process including on-time delivery and management of costs through invoice monitoring and carrier management.

Education

H.S Diploma or GED required.

College Degree preferred.

Experience

Prefer 2-5 years previous experience in logistics; SAP experience desired.
