    The Goddard School of Fairfax is currently looking for a full-time infant teacher (6 weeks -16 months old) who will create meaningful experiences for our youngest classrooms. We are looking for education-driven teachers that will foster curiosity and create inquiry-based lesson plans for our infants. If you are interested in being a lead teacher in our new school, you are ready to be a role model and make a difference in the lives of children.     Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $ $22.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week

    Schedule:
    • 8 hour shift
    • Monday to Friday
    Education:
    • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
    Experience:
    • Childcare / Teaching: 1 year (Required)
    License/Certification:
    • First Aid / CPR (Preferred)
    Work Location: In person

    Duties

    Overview of Role:
    Our teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of their assigned classroom. Lead Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment. Teachers will work directly with children and parents daily to build strong relationships and provide quality service.
    • Advancing physical and intellectual competence by adapting program activities to meet the individual needs of the children
    • Providing positive guidance by supporting social and emotional development
    • Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children's latest adventures
    • Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession
    Requirements

    Qualifications:
    • CDA, Associates, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
    • Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00AM - 6:00PM (8 hour shift based on program needs)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience coordinating and managing infant schedules
    • Knowledge of developmental goals for infants and writing lesson plans to reach them
    • CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
