    Tax Manager State and Local Taxes

    Salary:
    $160-185K plus a bonus, benefits and relocation fee (if needed.)

    Location:
    Hybrid model. Must workin office(Miami,Florida Office) 2-3 days a week.


    About:We are an established South Florida-based public accounting firm looking for a Tax Manager with recent Public Accounting experience.

    Summary:

    • The Tax Manager will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver state tax services for our diverse client base Lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and supervision. Coordinating the team's efforts to achieve taxrelated goals and deadlines.
    • This individual will serve as a consultant and representative on state business income, personal income, sales and use, payroll and other state taxes
    • The individual will be responsible for reviewing or drafting memoranda and other tax correspondence as well as creating spreadsheets
    • The individual will address tax credits including the research credit, tax audits, voluntary disclosure agreements, and tax filing positions
    • Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate basic knowledge of client's businesses
    • Work closely with Tax Partners to satisfy the needs with planning compliance
    • Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed
    • Research, write and consult on various tax engagements
    • Respond to inquiries from state tax authorities
    • Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals
    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Businessrelated field of study
    • CPA
    • 5+ years of relevant tax experience working in a CPA firm
    • A strong tax technical background developed from preparation of income tax returns for all types of entities
    • Strong tax planning and compliance surrounding income, trusts & estates, and gift tax matters
    • Experience withMicrosoft Office Suite
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to articulate complex tax concepts to clients clearly and understandably.

    • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
    • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
    • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
