    has an immediate career opportunity for a DoD IT Requirements Analyst to join our government solutions team in Norfolk, VA in support of Military Sealift Command (MSC).

    This is a Hybrid position, and the chosen Requirements Analyst will either work at SDi's Downtown Norfolk office or at Naval Station Norfolk depending on the needs of the day
    The chosen Analyst will work closely with SDi's enterprise architect, system and network engineering teams as well as our MSC customer
    You will be responsible for communicating MSC's needs and specifications to our engineers, enterprise architects, project managers, and other stakeholders
    Responsibilities


    • Requirements elicitation, gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of custom solutions

    In addition, as you develop, you will serve as a subject matter expert and provide validation guidance and support when necessary.


    • Use INCOSE requirements best practices throughout the requirements engineering process.
    • Elicit requirements to frame the right questions, listen actively, observe behaviors, and facilitate workshops or interviews.
    • Capture the results of all the work efforts in accordance with government standards and the provided templates for deliverables
    Examples include System Requirements Document (SRD), Interface Design Document (IDD), Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RT V M), etc.


    • E valuate information and conduct extensive research to ensure you have a complete picture of the client's needs.
    • Analyze requirements and ensure that they are clear, consistent, complete, feasible, and testable
    Analyzing requirements involves breaking down complex problems, identifying dependencies and constraints, resolving conflicts, and prioritizing needs.


    • Understand the relationship of vision, goals, and objectives in support of target capabilities, features, and functions.
    • Understand the enterprise architecture models at all levels and their relationship and importance to the requirements.
    • Validate the requirements and ensure that they meet the expectations and needs of the stakeholders and users

    Validating requirements involves reviewing, verifying, and validating the requirements with the relevant parties, as well as participating in framing tests, prototypes, or simulations.


    • Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of an enterprise requirements management plan for the collection, curation, storage, archiving, and disposition of all data and artifacts associated with DoD IT systems within the project's lifecycle.
    • Communicate the requirements and ensure that they are understood and agreed upon by all the project participants
    Communicating requirements involves creating, presenting, and distributing the requirements artifacts, such as specifications, diagrams, or user stories.


    • Interact with the project team to ensure your contribution to the project is progressing as expected
    Communicate issues and problems to project management promptly
    Required Qualifications


    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems, Systems Engineering, or related discipline is preferred, plus 5 years of experience

    A degree is not required with at least 10 years of general experience, of which eight years is directly related experience.


    • Working knowledge of Requirements Traceability Verification Matrices (RTVMs)
    • Vast knowledge of requirements management best practices - specifically INCOSE requirements.
    • Knowledge of functional, capability, system and use case models.
    • Experience with review and quality assurance of DOD compliance policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and acquisition documents
    • Knowledge of business process improvement
    • Knowledge of IT systems, IT systems security, and IT solutions
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools including Visio.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and interact confidently with individuals at all levels; must be dedicated to a high degree of customer service and work well in a team environment.
    • Active Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications

    • Business Process Modeling and Improvement

    • Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
    • Innoslate Tool knowledge Additional Information Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check prior to employment
    Physical requirements for this position include the ability to life 25 pounds regularly, the ability to move safely in confined spaces, the ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when needed, the ability to go onsite to company and customer worksites, the ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, the ability to use a computer keyboard, and the ability to see and respond to dangerous situations when needed
