Description

Job Description:

- Responsible for developing and implementing battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station design, while also conducting health, criticality, and risk assessments.
- Track, analyze, and report reliability metrics for battery energy storage and solar facilities.

Responsibilities:

- Aid in the creation, implementation, and upkeep of a data collection and predictive modeling tool for energy storage facilities and solar projects.
- Assist in system root cause analysis and track resulting action plans for system performance.
- Manage budgets related to battery energy storage facilities and solar projects.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Solar Operations & Engineering.

EDUCATION:

Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university

Preferred:
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred:
Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida (Required for Senior Consulting Engineer role)

EXPERIENCE:

Required:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.

Preferred: 8 years of relevant engineering experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Required:
Strong understanding of battery energy storage systems & Solar power generation, transmission, distribution, or substation engineering principles; Knowledge of maintenance practices, improvement practices, and power generation practices used in utilities; Project management skills and good communication abilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work irregular hours, overtime, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work in dusty and hot environments. Must be able to ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, bend, and drive as needed.
