    Introduction
    The Maintenance Technician position will be responsible for monitoring plant operations as well as perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, respond to calls for service to any line in a timely manner, independently troubleshoots equipment that needs repair or that is operating at a substandard level as well as make repairs and adjustments in a timely fashion to ensure as little downtime as possible.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assists in monitoring and maintaining plant operations, including production and packaging equipment.
    • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments
    • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems and production machines; troubleshoot malfunctions.
    • Independently troubleshoots equipment that needs repair or that is operating at a substandard level.
    • Setup and tear down equipment; may assist with major repairs, construction, fabrication, and installation of new plant equipment.
    • Makes repairs and adjustments in a timely fashion to ensure as little downtime as possible.
    • Monitor all safety devices and guards for correct position and operation.
    • Understand the safe use of each piece of equipment utilized on the production lines.
    • Other Maintenance Technician responsibilities as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • 1 Year Industrial, Agricultural or Production/Food Processing mechanical experience or experience in performing maintenance on production or manufacturing equipment preferred.
    • Vocational/Technical training preferred.
    • Electrical experience and/or welding experience is a plus.
    • Ability to operate a forklift and skid steer.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables where limited standardization exists.
