• Bachelor degree in one of: chemical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related field
• MS/PhD in engineering, materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
• In-depth understanding of alkali-ion conduction in solids, specifically as it relates to solid-state electrolytes for rechargeable batteries

• Work with battery research group to develop composite all-solid-state electrolyte materials for rechargeable batteries
• Work with materials research group to design and synthesize nanomaterials for the transport of alkali-ions
