- Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will lead employees to ensure the production of high-quality products with a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and process efficiency.
- Manage assigned shift personnel to maintain quality standards and increase production levels
- Plan and supervise production team schedules
- Provide manufacturing leadership, including discipline and performance management
- Implement lean tools and techniques to improve processes
- Identify training and development opportunities for employees
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations
- Conduct crew meetings for communication of changes and goals
- Assess team performance and progress
- Implement measures to enhance production methods and quality
- Resolve production issues efficiently
- Investigate and report on safety incidents
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other supervisors
- Perform assigned job-related duties
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, 3 in a supervisory role
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Interpersonal skills and leadership ability
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Demonstrated operational enhancement and team building talent
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in a unionized environment an asset
- Knowledge of Workday system an asset
