Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? Do you possess the skills and dedication to help them thrive academically and socially? We are currently seeking two dynamic Special Education Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year. These positions offer weekly pay at $34/hr with benefits as W2 employees.
Responsibilities:
- Teach core subjects including Math, English, Science, and Social Studies in a self-contained class.
- Assist in job development and provide support for students in daily living activities.
- Supervise driving assistance to help transport teachers and students to and from work sites.
- Monitor and support special education students transitioning into the general education population.
Qualifications:
- Certification in General Curriculum.
- Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12).
- Ability to manage a caseload of 8 students.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a team and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Manage all documentation and communication with parents/guardians.
- Provide support and accommodations for students in the general education setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices.
Qualifications:
- Certification in General Curriculum.
- Experience with IEP development and management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 24 students in a high school setting.
