    General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Inc. (GD-OTS) is looking to fill a position for a CNC Maintenance Technician at our Saco, ME Operations. Join our exceptional team and contribute to supporting our military missions.

    The Electromechanical role involves installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing a variety of machinery and CNC equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues, performing complex diagnoses and repairs on electrical and electronic systems, and following company directives and quality standards.

    Main Responsibilities

    The CNC Maintenance Technician will oversee repairs, collaborate with Engineers, Programmers, Supervisors, and other Maintenance personnel. They will also work with service technicians and engineers, wire new equipment, program machine functions, and inspect equipment for compliance with standards. Additionally, they will diagnose electronic control malfunctions and repair or replace parts as needed.

    Requirements

    Key skills for this role include understanding ladder logic, having an electrician's license or eligibility to obtain one, and familiarity with binary and digital logic numbering systems. The ability to program and troubleshoot computer systems related to CNC equipment is essential. Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally. Safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols are crucial.
    • Understanding of ladder logic for troubleshooting machines
    • Eligibility for master electrician's license
    • Ability to obtain licenses for forklift, hand truck, or platform lift operation
    • Familiarity with binary and digital logic numbering systems
    • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting industrial CNC/NC equipment
    • Capability to lift 35 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
    • Awareness of safety precautions and ability to follow safety practices
