- Programming experience in Tridium a must. Programming experience in Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or Carrier open a plus.
- Install controllers, sensors, and actuators.
- Field verifies proper operation of all control devices.
- Troubleshoot existing installations. Could troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Discuss automation system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
- Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Run and terminate low voltage wiring and cabling as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Qualified individuals will have 3 plus years of experience programming and installing building automation systems, including: Boiler and chiller plants, custom AHUs, Rooftop units, integration to ancillary systems, etc.
- Knowledge and experience programming fully programmable and application specific controllers.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of electrical devices.
- Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools various other troubleshooting and programming equipment.
- Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
- This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
