    As a Part-Time Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently using our HRIS system, Paylocity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization.

    Responsibilities:

    Describe Essential Functions

    Payroll Processing

    (80%)

    • Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and contractor payroll for employees accurately and on time using Paylocity.
    • Review and verify timecards, overtime, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
    • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in Paylocity.
    • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
    • Communicate to employees in matters of payroll concerns.

    Compliance

    (10%)

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
    • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

    Administrative

    (10%)

    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.

    Qualifications:

    Required (Education/Experiences/Competencies):

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
    • Proficiency in using Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll system.
    • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Preferred (Education/Experiences/Competencies):

    • Additional education in Accounting, Finance, or related fields is a plus.
