    The Business Development Manager, Southwest is responsible for achieving assigned sales goals and growth through effective sales planning and execution.

    The Business Development Manager will give emphasis to growing share of Foodservice Hatfield and Private Label branded business through the development of new customers as well as the maintenance and growth of existing Foodservice customers.

    The ideal candidate will have a history of placing new products with new customers, executing organizational initiatives and driving sales of key items for long-term growth.

    Protein sales experience is preferred.

    Having a history of success working with customers such as US Foods, Shamrock, Sysco, Nicholas, RW Zant, independent brokers, Regional Multi-Units and Large Leverage Operators is a plus.

    Candidate should reside and be familiar with business within the territory. Territory encompasses the states of CA, AZ, CO, NV and NM.


    Job Responsibilities:


    Lead the sales execution across aligned operating companies, to ensure that the organization delivers growth on key priorities and deliverables.

    Generate leads utilizing a hunter mentality focused on high-impact, sustainable opportunities.
    Maintain a sales funnel and move opportunities through the sales pipeline to close business utilizing CRM system.
    Develop and align joint plans, including targeted sales efforts, marketing plans, category optimization, innovation launches, and promotional activity.
    Execute best-in-class distributor sales representative and broker training on the pork category, focusing primarily on CFG brands.
    Collaborate with the internal support team to ensure efficient execution of business.
    Collaborate with marketing, pricing, insights, culinary, and operations to develop programs and offerings that deepen strategic customer relationships.
    Evaluate and develop partnerships with supporting brokers to drive incremental growth and profitability in the market.

    Organize and attend food shows, customer meetings and other events to develop sales opportunities to support the attainment of business goals and represent the CFG portfolio.

    Participate in key corporate initiatives as either a team member or steering team member to ensure that these cross-disciple efforts meet corporate objectives.

    Manage administrative duties such as utilizing our CRM platform, reporting, forecasting, travel and expenses.
