    • Our client, based in Stamford, CT, is immediately looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team With a history of successful placements, we have established a longstanding partnership with this client.
    • This position includes a 8:30-5:30 workday and the client offers a hybrid schedule (two days in office, one day from home)
    • The Assistant Controller will manage 4 people in the Corporate Accounting group and interact with several other business units: FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Reporting
    What youll do, as Assistant Controller:
    • Manage monthly consolidated reporting, including flash reporting and internal metrics, during the monthly close cycle.
    • Prepare consolidated cash flow statement, analyzing transactions related to stock compensation, acquisitions/dispositions, treasury matters, and business units.
    • Review Press Release and SEC filing data, collaborating with corporate and business unit teams for accurate disclosures.
    • Lead significant corporate accounting areas, including acquisitions/dispositions, restructuring, and benefit plans.
    • Oversee Corporate GL system (Dynamics) and consolidation system (HFM), working with administrators.
    • Lead Corporate accounting team, including Accounts Payable and General Accounting.
    • Coordinate statutory audits for corporate holding companies.
    • Provide accounting and reporting consultation to Business Unit Finance teams.
    • Manage SOX controls related to corporate accounting.
    • Supervise and develop two direct reports and wider team.
    What we are looking for, in an Assistant Controller:
    • CPA with a bachelors degree in accounting, business, or finance.
    • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience of accounting specifically with a publicly traded company.
    • Proficiency in Hyperion Finance Management (HFM) consolidation system required.
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics considered advantageous.
    • Solid understanding of the monthly close process and technical accounting.
    • Highly motivated and independent individual adept at project management.
    • Meticulous and organized with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
    • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
