    Our client provides commercial and residential demolition services to clients and customers in the DMV area. They are looking for a Construction Estimator to join their team

    Compensation:
    $75,000- $85,000 DOE, with bonuses

    Location:
    Chantilly

    Schedule:
    Mon-Fri 8am-4pm (Hybrid schedule: 4 days at home, 1 day in office)


    Responsibilities:
    Create proposals, obtain quotes by understanding customer specifications, and proposing a final budget for a project

    Estimate most of the work applicable to the respective region or business line, including target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow

    Study documentation, meet with clients, and inspect the construction site to fully understand what work is required

    Utilize industry-standard take-off methods to ensure precise measurements, minimizing the risk of underestimation or overestimation

    Solicit and evaluate bids with a specific focus on correct material and labor pricing.

    Build trust and credibility with partners across the business, from 3rd parties to client specialists to contractors and consultants


    Requirements:
    Minimum 2 years of prior construction estimator experience, preferably 5 years

    Previous experience with sitework or excavation work a plus

    Project Management experience

    Tech savvy, experience with Stack and Contractor Foreman or similar software a must

    Complete knowledge of the estimating documents and the ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of the documents

    Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices

    Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements, Ability to create reports on costing data

    Physical Demands:
    Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction

    Travel to site visit within the DMV area and southern PA
