    HDR is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation Business Group in either Raleigh, Charlotte, or Wilmington, NC.

    With HDR's continued expansion, we have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead transportation design projects throughout the state, primarily in eastern North Carolina.

    This is a growth position for the right candidate looking to make the next step in their career and build a high performing group.

    On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Project Manager will be expected to:

    Be responsible fore the management of NCDOT transportation design projects
    Be a Project Manager on large-scale contracts for non-conventional and conventional projects for area clients
    Establish and maintain client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
    Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on state highway systems
    Perform project management duties and client interaction
    Participate in reviews with various governing agencies
    Work across multiple business groups and market sectors
    Work with area leadership in planning, managing, and coordinating opportunities for staff across the area and region
    Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff
    Coordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
    Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
    Work with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Controllers and Area Managers for project reviews and with company management as needed
    Develop, manage, and supervise work of a staff of design professionals and technicians
    Perform other duties as needed
    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in related field
    Minimum of 10 years related experience, 5 of which must include project management
    Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various teams
    Strong and proven project management skills
    Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, and site planning
    An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
    Preferred Qualifications
    15 years experience in all aspects of engineering and/or planning
    PE license, and ability to obtain PE license in NC if PE is from another state
    Experience with InRoads, Microsoft Office applications
    Prior project experience working with NCDOT
    Local candidates are preferred
