    Position Summary: The Therapist or Therapist Associate position is responsible for providing psychotherapy to a caseload inclusive of adults, adolescents, and/or families experiencing symptoms related to mental health.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to clients, individually and/or in group sessions, to assist them in meeting their treatment goals, a minimum of 10 clients per week
    • Evaluate clients mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans
    • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
    • Use evidence-based treatment approaches to provide quality care to assigned caseload
    • Modify treatment interventions and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients status and every 6 months
    • Submit insurance claims and other related paperwork in a timely fashion
    • Maintain all professional licensure(s) required and provide prompt cooperation with third party credentialing for billing purposes
    • Maintain up-to-date client and program records and submit all notes for services within 24 hours
    • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
    • Maintain confidentiality of records related to clients treatment
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Requirements

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or Similar
    • Licensure in Maryland, DC or VA as one of the following: LCPC, LCSW-C, RP, or similar. (LGPC/LGSW/LMSW/LGMFT or Resident in Counseling may be considered on a case by case basis)
    • Must have the ability to work remotely
    • Evening and/or weekend availability
    • Must have at least 3 months experience providing telehealth and strong comfort level with technology
    • Must be accountable and collaborative. Working a hybrid or remote schedule, clinician will be expected to proactively take ownership of key tasks, and keep in regular communication with the team
    • Must have a passion for working with diverse communities
    • Must have good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
    • Must maintain organization, coworker, and client confidentiality and abide by the Data Privacy Act and HIPAA

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, Insurance billing, social media marketing
    • Experience with speaking engagements, workshops and facilitating
    • Board-Approved Supervisor in MD, DC or VA
