    SAIC is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to support the OSD Multi-Service Advanced Capabilities Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB) Program. Position can be filled in Crane, IN, Huntsville, AL or Washington, DC.

    NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be in office approximately 3 days a week.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Candidate would be responsible for creating, analyzing, implementing, and updating security policies, procedures, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property,

    facilities, operations, and materials. Position requires strong background in Information and Operations Security, and experience with DoD Security Classification Guides. The successful candidate will be a proactive, forward leaning self-starter with exceptional judgment to interface with stakeholders at all levels.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Developing a security program and providing recommendations and corrective actions as required.
    • Enforcing policies for document and access controls, transmission of sensitive information and materials, and related information controls and safeguards.
    • Generating and updating training packages to ensure that personnel are informed of security requirements (i.e., OPSEC briefings).
    • Working with the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) to review and clear a variety of documents that will be released.
    • Supporting and advising meetings and briefings for events.
    • Understanding participant program Security Classification Guides (SCGs) to provide security guidance to support internal and external stakeholders. Helping to develop an SCG for Mach-TB.
    • Providing security guidance and planning for flight test activities.

    Other duties may be assigned to include:

    • Reviewing annual security training requirements.
    • Assisting with maintenance and processing of Security Information Files.
    • Drafting or preparing a variety of documents to include responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents.
    • Processing various security related documentation, including issuance of access and/or identification credentials, as well as other documents related to access control.
    • Handling security incidents.
    • Providing Cyber Security Guidance

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

    • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more of related security experience; Masters degree and seven (7) years or more of experience
    • Knowledge of DoD guidance on classified materials and handling, destruction and storage, CUI/S classification categories
    • Prior Security role for DoD (OSD or Navy preferred).
    • Experience with NISPOM and OPNAVAVINST 2221.5D (Release of Communications Security Material to US Industrial firms under Contract to the Department of the Navy)
    • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Customer Service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. This position will require heavy interface with various customers/stakeholders.
    • Experience writing SOPs, procedures, and processes
    • Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
    • US Citizenship Required

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Familiarity with OUSD R&E Hypersonics for Military Systems and Applications Security Classification Guide SCG
    • Familiarity with Navy Conventional Prompt Strike SCG
    • Cyber Security Background or some technical experience
