    Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) providers at an in-patient rehabilitation unit.

    The NP works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multi-disciplinary health care team.

    The NP will engage in direct patient care activities within their established professional scope of practice and established by/under the collaborating/supervising physician for medical/clinical responsibilities in the in-patient setting.

    The NP will be responsible for patient care activities, but not limited to assessment, evaluation, diagnostic determination, on-going treatment and clinical management, as well as collaboration with the physician, inter-disciplinary team and some education for staff, patient, and caregivers.

    The NP will participate in performance improvement, along with continuing self-education to enhance skills and improve the delivery of care, incorporating PM&R principles and practice guidelines.

    The selected candidate will be joining an outstanding academic group of clinician-educators.

    This is a clinical track position, and academic rank will be determined commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

    Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana. Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program with certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the relevant specialty area. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
