    OHIO RECOVERY Located in Van Wert is looking to hire a Mental Health Counselor

    (This is not a remote position)

    Salary: 58K-70K yearly

    Job Summary The Mental Health Counselor will provide direct clinical services to clients at our Detox and Residential treatment facility in a variety of modalities including individual, family and group psychotherapy and psychoeducation. You must be skilled and experienced at treating addictions and their co-occurring mental health disorders. Ideal candidates must be able to work effectively, efficiently, and flexibly in a fast-paced, demanding and team-driven work environment.

    Mental Health Counselor Essential Responsibilities
    • Maintaining individual case loads
    • Documenting all patient-related activities in a timely and professional manner according to agency policy and relevant licensing and accreditation standards.
    • Completing all necessary documentation in a timely manner according to agency policy and relevant licensing and accreditation standards.
    • Participating in clinical utilization review and team sessions as needed, assisting in patient assessment, development and revision of treatment goals, and discharge planning.
    • Participating in regular clinical supervision rounds and consulting with medical director, program manager and colleagues when clinical decisions regarding risk arise.

    Mental Health Counselor Requirements:
    • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws
    • Knowledge of Addiction Issues, co-occurring disorders, and the 12-Step Recovery Program
    • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
    Mental Health Counselor Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in drug and alcohol treatment preferred.
    Qualifications/Licensure & Certifications:
    • Master's Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field
    • LSW, LPC, LPCC,
