- Perform duties of Head Nurse, plans, coordinates, and collaborates with other health care team members, regarding the activities required to meet the patient's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop strategies to improve patient care services.
- Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
- Instruct patient and family members regarding disease process and provides emotional support as needed.
- Assess patient's emotional, cognitive, social and motivational status relative to education and determines their educational needs and priorities.
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
