    Job Description

    This classification level is responsible for providing district offices support in maintaining databases. Responsibilities may include performing data entry, processing support in maintaining databases, generating reports and requested queries.

    Job Duties

    Processes a variety of paperwork including forms, applications, payments, and/or related documents ensuring completeness and accuracy of information. Enters data into applicable databases, utilizing prescribed methodologies; performs error corrections as necessary. Assists in maintaining databases by troubleshooting database errors and provides technical support for applicable database systems.

    Downloads and uploads data as requested; manipulates databases as necessary; reviews data fields and resolves errors in format and content; generating reports and requested queries.

    Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

    The above classification responsibilities represent only the key areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the business needs of the department.

    Requirements


    High school diploma or GED; and 2 years of administrative support/clerical experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.


    Preferred :
    Experience/education with computer information, statistical analysis, business, applied mathematics, sociology, or related field.

    All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

    Database management principles and practices; Customer service principles; Computers and related software applications.

    Using a computer and related software applications; Troubleshooting computer and/or database problems; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc.

    Sedentary Work:

    Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
