    Job Purpose

    To effectively and efficiently check in patients, verify insurance eligibility, confirm and/or reschedule appointments as needed, and collect payments for services provided.

    Qualifications/ Skill Sets
    • Excellent customer/patient service and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand information and effectively present information one-on-one with patients.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details written or verbally instructed.
    • Basic computer knowledge and experience with dental management software experience. Denticon experience is preferred.
    • Ability to work in fast paced, patient-focused environment.
    • Detail oriented. Dental Receptionist must be aware of and follow insurance plan rules and protocols.
    • Interpersonal skills. Sometimes patients are in pain and/or mental stress. The Dental Receptionist should be patient and sensitive to patient emotions.
    • Listening skills. Dental Receptionist must be able to listen to patients and other healthcare workers and follow directions from a Dentist or supervisor.
    • Organizational skills. Dental Receptionist should have excellent organizational skills; insure all record keeping requirements are fully and accurately completed.
    • Requires excellent customer service skills.
    • Previous dental office experience preferred but not required.
    Availability:
    • Part-time (3-4 days a week, 15-20 hours / week)
    • afternoon to evening shift (2 PM - 7 PM)
