- Operates sound, lighting, and video equipment for all entertainment programs.
- Coordinates equipment operation with material presented, according to notations in script or instructions of performer.
- Performs preventative maintenance and ensures equipment is in good working order; makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment; logs repairs with proper documentation and notifies management when correction of major malfunctions is necessary.
- Positions, installs, and connects equipment such as microphones, amplifiers, and lights.
- Installs, terminates, tests, and labels a variety of low voltage and AV-specific cable types: CAT5/6, coax, speaker wire, and sensors.
- Installs and properly supports a variety of AV components, including but not limited to video displays, projectors, screens, and speakers.
- Assists with the installation and termination of AV equipment racks and automation control systems.
- Performs start-up and basic debugging of AV and automation systems.
- Maintains records and inventory of all cabling and equipment to ensure proper quantities for upcoming events.
- Assists management in coordination of all performances and entertainment.
- Administers control panels to trigger playback of prerecorded and live video features.
- Facilitates successful events by meeting with performers and bands as they arrive at the venue; assists with setup and testing.
- Performs daily rounds to check and adjust all audio and video signals throughout the property.
- Monitors the performance and accuracy of Digital Signage System.
- Updates content on digital signage templates as requested by the Marketing department.
- Develops and maintains a good rapport with the Marketing department, other departments and guests.
- Maintains strong communication with supervisor regarding status and functionality of equipment.
- Assists group guests with AV needs. - Provides positive communication and uses Red Carpet Training skills with every patron and co-worker.
- Performs duties in a safe manner; reports any potential safety hazards to management staff.
- Performs any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description, where, in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, degree or certification in Audio/Visual Technology or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with Audio/Visual in the aspect of entertainment preferred; previous experience in a Casino/Entertainment environment a plus.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of AV automation (Crestron, BSS, PC-Music, and iPTV), Audio/Visual control systems, and IT.
- Ability to use and understand a wide variety of Audio/Visual equipment and standards.
- General knowledge of all cabling used for Audio/Visual equipment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
- Must have advanced computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work quickly and with accuracy under deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize, be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and acknowledge urgency when necessary.
- Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to move effectively and efficiently through assigned work areas.
- Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
