    Job Description:Over the last 25 years Reliable Relamping has grown to be one of the largest national contractors in the country; providing interior and exterior lighting and electrical services for major retailers, including 5 of the nation's largest retailers.

    About the Job:
    This position requires traveling and is generally autonomous. Approximately 50% of the service calls are in a greater metropolitan area and within a 3-hour radius of home. When the service calls are outside of a 1-hour driving radius, the job requires a hotel stay and pays $30/day per diem.

    Service work orders will be scheduled to a team member, via the Internet, who will work remotely from the home office with a local storage unit as a base of operations. Team members will work closely with our dispatcher and customer service representatives to ensure assigned work orders are addressed accurately and in a timely fashion.

    Troubleshoot electrical and lighting systems to make sure that customer stores are 100% operational. The job includes a very good understanding of electrical theory, lighting, troubleshooting, and lamp and ballast knowledge. Replace electrical and lighting components for existing layouts, as well as installation of new equipment. Electrical knowledge is a must and the candidate must have at least a journeyman electrician license.

    Team members must be able to order inventory supplies, maintain truck inventory, follow store paperwork requirements, and work proficiently. The applicant must also be able to get a DOT Medical Card/Chauffeurs Commercial License and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, along with the ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.

    Responsibilities Include:
    • Service and troubleshoot various electrical issues for retail customers, including lighting systems
    • Electrical break, fix, and repair.
    • Work Directly with store managers and maintenance personnel.
    • Replace electrical and lighting components for existing layouts, as well as installation of new equipment.
    • Ability to order supplies, maintain truck inventory, and follow paperwork requirements.

    Qualifications Include:
    • Journeyman Preferred
    • Previous service experience
    • Excellent Understanding of Electrical Theory
    • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems
    • Ability to lift and/or move moderately heavy objects
    • Ability to ascend/descend ladders
    • Possession of basic hand tools
    • Must hold a valid driver's license
    • Must be willing to travel
    • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
